From the "Berg-Historia" by Johann Wilhelm Kretschmann, which was written in 1741 at the instigation of the Bayreuth margrave , we learn that in 1492 the Kastner zu Wunsiedel, Fritz vom End, received a mine in the Reichsforst and around the shop fountain. The shop fountain also appears in the land register of the six offices from 1499 in the description of the rainforest of the Selber forest and in the boundary description of the Selber marker. The shop fountain is also mentioned in the Selber judge's office description from 1674. The fountain near the border is shown on a map "Districtus Egranus" from 1719.
