Ladin house types

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ladin culture has developed different Ladin house types for farm houses and other houses. Four types can be distinguished. The oldest farmhouses are in the Romanesque style. The Gothic style follows, at least for the more stately designed buildings. A house shape that is known as a "mushroom house" because of its shape is widespread. In the nineteenth century, a new type of house developed again, the "19th century house".

Left houses

Since the old houses no longer meet today's requirements, also because of the decline in the importance of agriculture, and are often difficult and expensive to renovate, they run the risk of being abandoned and torn down. More or less successful new buildings are being erected in their place (or next to it).
