Pederoa ( also Pidrô in Ladin ) is a fraction of the municipality of Wengen in South Tyrol and Ladinia . It is better known because it is down on the Gader on the Gadertal road with the bus stop at the Gasthof zur Post. Here the Wengener Bach flows into the Gader. Pederoa used to be Wengen's gateway to the world, so to speak. Here the local road branches off from the state road into the Wengen Valley. A road connection to the western side of the Gader valley up to the local part of Wengen is also not far. In the village, the state road crosses the Gader on a bridge, which crosses the Gader almost at a right angle, which is common for the architecture of the early 20th century . Such bridges occasionally cause difficulties for today's truck traffic.

In the meantime, the Gaderbach has been pushed to the edge of its creek bed to make way for an industrial area (Zona artisanale), where there are shoe, textile shops, carpenters and several rest stops. Fears that the floods, which occur more frequently in the mountains, could affect the craftsmen's area have not yet been confirmed.

There is a chapel at the top of Pederoa. There are hiking trails leading to the Armentara .

The name "Pederoa" is traced back by the Ladin linguist Paul Videsott to "ad pedem de rova", ie "at the foot of the mudflow ", whereby “rova” is a pre-Roman name for mudflow. Rüfe is also a German word for Mure.
