history
Lady was recorded in 1980 and is one of Roger's most successful hits, in an interview he said: "The idea was that Lionel would come from R&B and I'd come from country, and we'd meet somewhere in pop." The song was Richie's first production outside of the Commodores and also a success as a songwriter, in 1985 Rogers also participated in the recording of the USA for Africa classic We Are the World .
