Dana van Dreven

Dana van Dreven (* 9. July 1974 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch hardstyle - and hardcore techno - DJ , producer and label owner. She is known by the names Dana , Lady Dana and DJ Dana .

Life

Van Dreven began her career in 1993. In the beginning she mainly played gabber under the name Lady Dana , but after a while she developed her own style. She developed this from 1995 to 2002, created a mix of different styles of electronic dance music . Van Dreven is also known under her pseudonym DJ Dana . It is typical of her style that she often mixes techno , trance and hardstyle.

Van Dreven achieved great fame in 2002 with her remix of the Sensation Black Anthems. In 2004 she reached the 29th place on the "English MixMag List" of the most famous DJs in the world.

Dana van Dreven was nominated twice for an award from the Dutch TV station TMF ; in 2004 she took 4th place.

In the hardstyle genre, van Dreven is one of the most famous DJs because she is one of the few women. She is also called "Queen Of Hardstyle" (Queen of Hardstyle).

Since 2004 van Dreven owns her own record label Danamite , which is a sub-label of The Third Movement .
