List of apple varieties

Lady Williams is a variety of apples that was discovered in western Australia around 1930. It is believed to be a cross between the Granny Smith and Rokewood varieties . Special features of this apple variety are the late ripening time, the exceptional shelf life and the rich red color. Since the apple does not fully ripen until relatively late, it is unsuitable for cooler climates. Furthermore, it is rather unknown outside of western Australia.

Today it is used in breeding. The Cripps Pink variety , which is sold under the trade name Pink Lady , was created from the cross with the Golden Delicious variety .
