The Lag da Laus ( Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Sursilvan , literally «Black Cherry Lake») is a lake in the Surselva in the Swiss canton of Graubünden .
geography
The lake is located in the municipality of Sumvitg on the southern flank of the Vorderrhein Valley above the hamlet of Laus .
The lake is fed from underground springs and is surrounded in the north by loose alpine forest. On the north side is the drain, which disappears underground after overflowing the threshold.
The origin of the lake goes back to a landslide, the elements of which are clearly visible from Disentis .
reachability
The lake can be reached on foot and by mountain bike in various ways. A narrow road leads from Laus to a large parking lot, from which a hiking trail leads to the lake in around 40 minutes.
Fishing in the lake is only permitted for members of the Sumvitg fishing club.
