The Lago de la Juventud (Lake of youth) is an 8 ha large lake in Uruguay , which at Balneario Iporá in tacuarembó department is located. It got its name when the first national jamboree of the Uruguayan scouts took place there in 1989 .
The lake is located seven kilometers north of the city of Tacuarembó and is a popular destination, especially because of its beautiful location.
