The Lago di Faetano is the only lake in the Republic of San Marino . It was created artificially.

The lake in the municipality of Faetano was created as a leisure facility in the 1960s and has an area of ​​around 6,000 m 2 . It is fed by the Marano River. It has been used mainly by sport fishermen from the Federazione Sammarinese Pesca Sportiva (FSPS) association since 1968 .

Part of Lago Faetano is also operated as a demarcated public bathing establishment . At the lake there is a parking lot, a kiosk with changing rooms and a building belonging to the FSPS fishing association.
