The Lago di Tom (also Tomsee or Lago Tom ) is a mountain lake in the Swiss municipality of Quinto in the canton of Ticino .

The outflow-free lake is at an altitude of 2020  m above sea level. M. north of Lake Ritóm in a depression formed by a glacier. It is around 15 meters deep and nine hectares in size. The water flows off through a karst cave and emerges again a little south of the lake.

The Lago di Tom is known for its white sandy beach consisting of "sugar dolomite". The sugary dolomite of the Val Piora that emerges here worried the builders of the Gotthard Base Tunnel a few kilometers to the east when they were planning.

Traces of settlement from the Bronze Age were found on the lake .

There are brown trout , arctic char and American arctic char in the lake . At the southwest end are the huts of Alpe Tom. The hiking trail leads past the lake from Lago Ritóm to the Cadlimohütte .
