Laini Otis

Laini Otis (born December 15, 1978 ) is a German author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. The author publishes fantasy stories under the pseudonym Cat Dylan .

Live and act

Laini Otis was born and raised in a small town in southern Germany.

Otis has been publishing her works since 2016. Her publishers include Carlsen Verlag , Droemer Knaur and Romance Edition. She has also been a self-publisher since 2017 .

On October 28, 2016, she started the new, successful imprint Dark Diamonds by Carlsen Verlag with her Call it magic series and the title Nachtschwärmer, along with five other titles. Her slogan Every story starts with a song relates to her writing behavior. Without a song, the author cannot write a story that flows freely from her, without plotting.

For their debut Sound of Love , frontman Billy McCarthy personally gave the defunct band We Are Augustines permission to use parts of their lyrics, Chapel Song.

After moving a few times, Laini Otis lives and works in Baden-Württemberg . She is a mother of two and divorced.
