Lajm
Lajm ( Albanian for "news" / "message") is a Kosovar daily newspaper that was first published in October 2004 by Mabetex. Mabetex is an international company owned by Kosovar businessman Behgjet Pacolli .
Due to the courageous reporting, investigative journalism and its critical approaches, Lajm soon became one of the two newspapers with the widest readership in Kosovo. However, quality and sales suffered from poor management, which led to leading journalists leaving the company very soon. In April 2008, Lajm, along with Infopress and National, had less than 5 percent readership.
The tabloid appears daily as a one-page print. Lajm's main competitor is Kosovo's other tabloid Gazeta Express . A modified version appears in Macedonia .
