Lajos Balázsovits (born December 4, 1946 in Nagykanizsa ) is a Hungarian actor .

Life

Balázsovits studied from 1965 to 1969 at the Budapest Theater and Film School. As early as 1968 he shot his first feature film with Isten és ember előtt (translated: Before God and the People ) under the direction of Károly Makk . Balázsovits worked several times in the following years under the direction of Miklós Jancsó , for example in Shimmering Winds (1968), Red Psalm (1972), Meine Liebe - Elektra (1974) and the revealing film The Great Orgy (1974). He was also seen in films for children and young people, such as Brother No. 2 Arrives (1971).

Balázsovits belonged to the ensemble of the Madách Theater in Budapest from 1969 and played at the Budapest Comedy Theater from 1974 to 1979. From 1979 Balázsovits was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Hungarian film studio Mafilm. Since the 1990s, Balázsovits has concentrated increasingly on the theater and only occasionally works in film.

Balázsovits is married to actress Éva Almási . Their daughter Edit Balázsovits is also an actress.
