Lajos Barath

Lajos Baráth (born August 18, 1935 in Abaújkér , † July 29, 2006 in Vértessomló ) was a Hungarian writer.

Baráth worked underground as a carpenter and as a historian dedicated himself to the history of the Tatabánya mine .

Baráth portrayed the world of the workers in a realistic way without succumbing to the flat demands of so-called socialist realism.
