Laka Daisical

Laka Daisical (* 8. January 1953 in Oxford as Dorota Koch ) is a British jazz pianist and singer.

Live and act

Daisical learned the piano from the age of three and also had cello lessons as a teenager; she also played timpani in the school orchestra. Between 1974 and 1982 she was active in numerous rock and funk bands , but also in big bands . In 1982 she became a member of the women's jazz band Guest Stars , in whose current formation she is active again. She has toured internationally with the Guest Stars several times. From 1983 she played alongside in the band of Annie Whitehead ; she also worked with Kate Westbrook . She also appears with her own quintet, in a pop context with the Electric Landladies , and occasionally with Deirdre Cartwright's The Vortex .
