The Lake Ballingall is an artificial lake in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia . The dam about 15 km north of Collie was built in the 1990s to reduce the salinization of the Wellington Reservoir on the Collie River . It is also additional storage space for drinking water for the cities of the Wheatbelt region .
