Lake Karentz is a 2.1 km long and frozen lake in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Ringer Valley of the Saint Johns Range, it lies west of Mount Swinford and the Ringer Glacier . Its meltwater catchment area includes the head end of Ringer Valley and the slopes of Mount Swinford.

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2005 after Deneb Karentz (* 1952), marine biologist of the United States Antarctic Program in 17 field research campaigns starting in 1992 at the Palmer Station and the McMurdo Station with research trips to the regions of the Bellingshausen Sea and the Ross Sea .
