The Lake Porkchop (English for pork chop lake ) is a lake in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range , it is near the middle of the Roaring Valley .
The lake got its descriptive name, based on its shape, from participants in a campaign by New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1960 to 1961 .
