Lake Vashka is a lake in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It is located in the center of the Barwick Valley at a distance of 4 miles east of the Webb Glacier .
Participants in a campaign carried out from 1958 to 1959 as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions named the lake after a sled dog of the same name from the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
