Lake of Tears is a Swedish Gothic Metal band. It is mainly known for its wide range of sounds, which appears over the duration of its releases. Styles from Doom Metal to Psychedelic Rock are served. Critics have valued the band for their songwriting and guitar playing skills. The band disbanded temporarily in 2000. Almost single-handedly, band leader Daniel Brennare recorded the album The Neonai in 2002 , mainly to fulfill the contract with the record company, which provided for another album. In mid-2003 the band got back together and released the comeback album Black Brick Road the following year .
