Lambert van der Heggen

Lambert van der Heggen (* 14 ?? in Aachen ; † 7 January 1491 in Cologne ) was a priest and vicar general in Cologne.

Life

Van der Heggen, who comes from Aachen , studied at the medieval University of Cologne , where he was also awarded a Dr. decr. (decretalium = of canon law ) and then became professor of the law faculty. Since August 26, 1477, he has been official and vicar general of the Archbishop of Cologne, Ruprecht von der Pfalz , and presumably remained in this position until the archbishop's resignation (1478).

Since 1474 canon at the Marienstift in Aachen , he became dean of the legal faculty in 1477, rector of the university in 1488/89 and canon at St. Andreas in Cologne in 1489 , where he was buried.
