Lamberto Lambertini

Lamberto Lambertini (born March 12, 1946 in Naples ) is an Italian theater and film director .

Life

Lambertini dropped out of medical school to devote some time to painting in Paris. After returning to his native country, he wrote for the theater and especially for the radio, for which he wrote several radio plays such as Diabolik e Eva Kant uniti nel bene e nel male or Napoli e contorni . From 1982 he was artistically associated with Concetta and Peppe Barra until Concetta's death in 1993; For the jointly founded theater group, numerous pieces from Lambertini's pen were performed (such as Peppe e Barra , Assola per due , Il silenzio di Pulcinella ). He was responsible for some documentaries for television.

In 1994 his first feature film, Vrindavan Film Studio , had hardly any cinema screenings in Italy under the difficult distribution conditions at the time, but was a success in other countries, especially in India . In 2006 Lambertini was able to win Omar Sharif for the lead role in his historical film Fuoco su di me .

In 2001 a book by Lambertini was published with “Sono nata a Procida, memoria impossibile di Concetta Barra”.
