Lamera is a metal band from Mannheim , which has existed since 2004.

history

The band was founded in the year of origin by Thomas Franklin (guitar), Silvio Stolzenthaler (drums) and Maximilian Gratzl (guitar). For one year this line-up was only used for experimentation. In 2005, Mark Böhm, a bassist, joined the band. Various songs were written with this line-up, but never performed or recorded in public. During this period Thomas Franklin began to take over the vocals in the band in addition to playing the guitar. Mark Böhm left the band a year after joining and was replaced by Matej Satovic about six months later. In 2010, Christopher Hummels joined the band as a guitarist and second singer. Besides Lamera, Christopher Hummels is also active as a singer / songwriter and guitarist in the band "Fall in Grace".

The band had their first live performances in 2007 and by 2011 they played over 50 gigs in Germany and Austria. This included appearances at the Rock Area Festival (2009), Raise the Roof Festival (2010) and Phönix Festival (2011) for which the band won the respective newcomer band competitions.

In 2012 Lamera signed her first record deal with Traunshumanz Records.
