The Lamping Peak is a rocky mountain peak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency , he stands on the western slopes of the Queen Alexandra Range between Prebble Glacier and the Wyckoff Glacier on.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after John T. Lamping, a member of the United States Antarctic Program and geomagnetologist at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1961.
