The Land Procurement Act regulates the use of land for direct or indirect purposes of the national or alliance defense of Germany. It also empowers expropriations .

An application by the Greens parliamentary group on January 30, 2013, “Review Land Procurement Act” was rejected in accordance with the recommendation of the Defense Committee .
