Land book of the yard
The Hof Landbuch from 1502 is the first property register of the Hof office as part of the Brandenburg-Kulmbach Margraviate . It is in the Bamberg State Archives under the signature: “Markgraftum Brandenburg-Bayreuth, Secret House Archive Plassenburg No. 4360”.
The Amt Hof is an administrative division of the Brandenburg-Kulmbach margraves for the area of the Hofer Land and was occupied by officials . The Land Book of Hof was created at the time of Margrave Friedrich II and, like the Land Book of the Six Offices, is a first precise description of the ownership situation.
