The State ASten Conference Schleswig-Holstein (short: LAK SH ) is a voluntary amalgamation of all general student committees of the state universities of Schleswig-Holstein . In contrast to other federal states, such as the conference of Saxon student bodies , the LAK SH is not required by law, but its necessity can be derived from Section 72 (2) No. 7 HSG. The LAK SH has no budget of its own and finances its work from grants from its members.

The LAK SH serves the exchange of information and the coordination between the student representatives of the federal state. In addition, it represents their interests towards state and federal politics as well as the public. In this way, it represents the national interests of the student bodies of its member universities .

The LAK SH acts according to its own rules of procedure. Each university has one vote. Every year two representatives are elected to represent the LAK SH externally and to lead the meetings.

The student bodies of all state universities in Schleswig-Holstein are currently members of the Landes-Asten Conference. These are:
