State Archives Administration Rhineland-Palatinate
The State Archives Administration Rhineland-Palatinate consists of the State Main Archive Koblenz and the State Archive Speyer (State Archives Act Rhineland-Palatinate § 5) and has its seat in Koblenz .
The state archives of Rhineland-Palatinate are subject to the technical and service supervision of the Ministry for Science, Further Education and Culture . They are responsible for the systematic collection, indexing, preservation, storage, evaluation and provision of archive material . Archival records are archivally evaluated documents of lasting value that have been created by the more than 500 agencies in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate that are obliged to offer / produce documents.
