The state company for data processing and IT service tasks ( LDS ) was the IT service provider for the state administration in Brandenburg until August 31, 2008. Its successor is the Brandenburg IT service provider (ZIT-BB).

It emerged from the State Office for Data Processing and Statistics , which existed from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2006, belonged to the division of the Ministry of the Interior Brandenburg and employed around 520 people. It had its seat in Potsdam and branches in Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder) .

The state company emerged from the state office for data processing and statistics, which had existed for almost ten years with the aim of developing the LDS into a competent service provider for information and communication for the state administration of Brandenburg.

Since January 1, 2007, the data processing and statistics departments have been separated. The data processing continued to work under the name Landesbetrieb für Datenverarbeitung und IT-Servicen as an IT service provider for the state of Brandenburg. Statistics were combined with the Berlin State Statistical Office to form an institution under public law called the Berlin-Brandenburg Statistics Office .

On January 1, 2009, the Brandenburg IT service provider (ZIT-BB) emerged from the state operations .
