The Munich Regional Church Office is the highest service authority ( called “ Consistory ” in other regional churches ) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria .

The church authority is located in the Kunstareal Munich ( Maxvorstadt ) on Katharina-von-Bora-Straße (until 2010 Meiserstraße after the former regional bishop and head of the regional church office Hans Meiser ) with individual outsourced presentations in Karlstraße. She is responsible for the administration of the Bavarian regional church. The regional church office in Munich is the official seat of the Bavarian regional bishop , the chairman of the regional church council , which in turn consists of the heads of the departments of the regional church office and the regional bishops of the regional church. The regional church council meets monthly in full sessions in the regional church office.

The regional church office publishes the official gazette for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria as the official proclamation gazette of the Bavarian regional church.

The regional church office is divided into seven departments, which are divided into sections.

  • Department F: Personnel (Oberkirchenrat Stefan Reimers)
  • MAV department (employee representation of the regional church office)

The auditing office acts as an independent authority. The press, public relations, journalism (P.Ö.P) department is assigned to the regional bishop's office.

Katharina-von-Bora-Strasse 13

The office building of the Munich Regional Church Office consists of the buildings Katharina-von-Bora-Straße 7, 9, 11 and Katharina-von-Bora-Straße 13, which are supplemented by another building in the inner courtyard.

The architect Oswald Bieber and Karl Stöhr built the now listed administration building at Katharina-von-Bora-Straße 13 in the form of an Italian palazzo from 1928 to 1929.

history

In 1920 the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria on the right of the Rhine was established by canon law and had its seat at Arcisstrasse 13 from 1928.
