Regional church music school of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland was a training facility for church musicians in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland .

The school was founded in 1949 in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth . Its first director was Gerhard Schwarz . In 1951 the school moved to Wuppertal-Elberfeld . Another move to Düsseldorf followed in 1958 . In 1975, the training of full-time church musicians was integrated into the Robert Schumann University as a department for Protestant church music .
