The regional association of Jewish communities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Kdö.R is an association of Jewish communities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with its headquarters in Schwerin , where it was re-established in 1947 after the Second World War. Was instrumental in Franz Unikower , from 1948 president for many years.

The regional association is a member of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and, in contrast to the year 1933 with 47 Jewish communities, today only includes two Jewish communities: For example, the Jewish community of Rostock and Schwerin with a total of 1730 (as of 2007) community members. The Jewish community of Wismar citizens of the Jewish faith with 140 community members belongs to the Schwerin community founded in 1994 with a total of around 900 members. The Rostock community has around 700 members.

The relationship between the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the regional association of Jewish communities was regulated in a state church contract. The contract was signed on June 14, 1996 and entered into force on October 5, 1996. According to this, the state association is the contact person for the state government and the state institutions in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for Jewish matters.

The regional association, the Ministry of Culture and the City of Schwerin signed an agreement on December 10, 2007 to build a new synagogue in Schwerin. The synagogue was inaugurated on December 3, 2008.
