Landmannahellir is a small cave at the foot of Hellisfjall in the middle of Suðurland (southern Iceland ) in the area of influence of the Hekla volcano .
Landmannahellir is 14 m long, 8 m wide and has a 4 m deep ceiling. It used to offer farmers shelter with their sheep. Today it is used for tourism. A couple of huts have been built near the cave.
