Charles Borromeo McLaughlin

Charles Borromeo McLaughlin (born September 28, 1913 in New York City , † December 14, 1978 ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Saint Petersburg .

Life

Charles Borromeo McLaughlin received on 6 June 1941, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 13, 1964 titular bishop of Risinium and auxiliary bishop in Raleigh . He received his episcopal ordination on April 15 of the same year by the Bishop of Raleigh, Vincent Stanislaus Waters ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Salt Lake City , Joseph Lennox Federal , and the Bishop of Little Rock , Albert Lewis Fletcher .

McLaughlin attended the third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council as the Council Father.

On May 2, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him. as the first bishop of the newly founded diocese of Saint Petersburg .
