Vincent Stanislaus Waters

Vincent Stanislaus Waters (born August 15, 1904 in Roanoke , Virginia , † December 3, 1974 ) was Bishop of Raleigh .

Life

Vincent Stanislaus Waters received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Richmond on December 8, 1931 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him Bishop of Raleigh on March 10, 1945 . The Bishop of Richmond, Peter Leo Ireton , ordained him episcopal on May 15 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Savannah-Atlanta , Gerald Patrick O'Hara , and the Bishop of Charleston , Emmet Michael Walsh .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.
