Michael Sauthoff

Michael Sauthoff (* 1954 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German judge and president of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Higher Administrative Court and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Finance Court a. D.

Sauthoff was appointed judge at the Administrative Court of Oldenburg in 1984. When the judiciary was established in the new federal states after the fall of the Wall , Sauthoff was first delegated to the Ministry of Justice of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1991 and transferred to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1992. He worked as a judge at both the Higher Administrative Court and the Finance Court. In 2003 he became Vice President of the Higher Administrative Court and in 2014 President of both the Higher Administrative Court and the Finance Court.

In 2010 he was awarded a doctorate degree at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Greifswald with the new edition of his textbook Public Roads: Road Law - Road Traffic Law - Road Safety Obligations (title of the first edition from 2003: Street and Neighborhood ). jur. doctorate and works there as an honorary professor .

Sauthoff is co-editor of the journal for public law in Northern Germany (NordÖR).
