    history

After the reunification of Germany, the judicial organization was rebuilt. Rudolf Mellinghoff played a key role in establishing the public-law jurisdiction of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

    management

Klaus Haack was president of the Higher Administrative Court from 1992 to 1997 . He was followed by Hannelore Kohl , who held this position until 2014. From 2014 to 2019, the previous Vice President Michael Sauthoff , who also headed the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Finance Court, was President of the Higher Administrative Court. The merging of both offices in one person met with criticism from the judges, and the President of the Federal Fiscal Court, Rudolf Mellinghoff , also expressed concerns. The Federal Fiscal Court has decided that a senate is not properly staffed if a finance court president is also a court president in another jurisdiction, but the business allocation plan does not reveal the fraction of his manpower with which the "double president" is assigned to his senate in the finance court.

Eckhard Corsmeyer has headed the court since 2019 . Vice-President of the Higher Administrative Court is Jürgen Aussprung.
