The Schwerin Administrative Court is a court under the administrative jurisdiction of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

  • The seat of the court is the state capital Schwerin .

    The judicial district includes the districts of Rostock , Ludwigslust-Parchim and Northwest Mecklenburg and the independent cities of Rostock and Schwerin. The other districts of the federal state form the district of the Greifswald administrative court .

    In the field of asylum law , from 2005 to 2015 the court was responsible for the entire district of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Higher Administrative Court and thus for all districts and cities in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since 2016, this only applies to certain “countries of origin” that are not subject to the jurisdiction of the Greifswald Administrative Court. In Boizenburg / Elbe there was an external chamber from April 1994 to the end of 2008 , which was responsible for certain asylum matters for those obliged to stay in the state 's initial reception center for asylum seekers .
