Landscape protection area Asbecktal
The Asbeck Valley landscape protection area with 18.6 hectares is located in the Märkischer Kreis in the area of the city of Menden . It was designated for the first time in 1989 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the landscape plan Balve - Mittleres Hönnetal as a landscape protection area (LSG) of type B (special landscape protection) with the name landscape protection area Asbecktal west of Asbeck . In 2015, with the 2nd change to landscape plan No. 2 Balve-Mitteleres-Hönnetal, another designation with a change of name. The LSG is located west of Asbeck . The LSG extends to the edge of the settlement and consists of two sub-areas.

Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to maintain, develop or restore the efficiency and functionality of the natural balance or the regenerative and sustainable usability of natural assets, including the protection of habitats and habitats. Legal regulations
In the LSG, among other things, the erection of buildings is prohibited. The erection of milking parlors and open shelters for grazing cattle and the erection of customary pasture and forestry fences as well as customary property enclosures are excluded from the prohibition. The new planting of Christmas tree cultures, ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures and reforestation is prohibited and is subject to official approval from the Lower Nature Conservation Authority .
