The landscape protection area Bilmer Büsche / Himmelpforter Heide / Riesenberg with 102  hectares is located in the municipality of Ense in the district of Soest . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) by the district council in 2006 with the landscape plan V Ense-Wickede . The LSG is located northeast of Niederense . The Enser See nature reserve borders in the west . The Soest district landscape protection area borders in the east . The B 516 is on the southern border of the LSG . Behind the B 516 lies the Bilmer Büsche / Himmelpforter Heide / Riesenberg nature reserve .

The LSG comprises a Schleddental and parts of the surrounding area with forest, grassland and fields. In the LSG there are also rows of trees, orchards and field trees, hedges and watercourses.

Protection purpose

As with other LSGs, the designation was carried out in the landscape plan area to maintain or restore the efficiency of the natural balance; because of the diversity, uniqueness or beauty of the landscape or because of its special importance for recreation. The LSG protects the Schleddental with invigorating and structuring landscape elements such as rows of trees, orchards and bushes, hedges and watercourses.

Legal regulations

As in the other landscape protection areas in the landscape planning area, the LSG prohibits the construction of structures. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other landscape protection areas, the LSG prohibits the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures . It z. B. also forbidden to remove or damage trees, shrubs, hedges, field or riparian trees.
