The landscape protection area open spaces near Oesdorf / Westheim and Krähengrund with 192.81 hectares is located in the urban area of Marsberg and in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The protected area includes four parts of the open land south and east of Oesdorf. The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Marsberg landscape plan . The LSG was designated as a type B landscape planning area, peripheral locations, open land and cultivated land protection.
description
In the LSG there are agricultural open land areas with grassland and arable land. The Westheim golf course is located in the LSG. The 2 Linden natural monument , the protected landscape component avenue north of the Rosenberg and the protected landscape component Doppelallee Westheim are also located in the LSG. The protected landscape component Krähengrund is enclosed by the LSG.
To the east of Oesdorf these are predominantly arable areas, with the two directly east of the village interlocking with the grassland of the surrounding LSG Vor der Egge. The third sub-area on the Krähengrund covers the south-eastern part of a larger, poorly structured intensive field south of the Karolinenhof , which is separated from the surrounding landscape of the Oesdorf area by a wide hedge. Also south of the Dahlbach, in the direction of Westheim, larger arable land and the Westheim golf course are part of the LSG on Hoppenberg.
Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open. Also because of its special importance for recreation. According to the landscape plan, the designation was also made to keep the local recreation area between Westheim and Oesdorf open and to contribute to the landscape-defining effect of the large trees that are worthy of protection, here the three above-mentioned LBs and the natural monument.
Legal regulations
As in the other landscape protection areas in the city, the LSG prohibits building structures. Construction projects for horticulture, agriculture and forestry are exempt from the ban. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Meschede, the LSG prohibits initial afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nurseries . There is a requirement to keep the LSG free of woodland through agricultural use or suitable maintenance measures.
