The landscape protection area Gut Hausen with an area of ​​52.93  hectares is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

The LSG is divided by the A 1. To the north is the Kaisbergaue nature reserve in the west , followed by the B 54 and the Volme as the border of the reserve. There is a railway line to the south and an industrial area to the west. To the west is the Werdringen / Kaisberg nature reserve .

These are partly agricultural areas in the floodplains of the Ruhr and Volme and the area where the Volme flows into the Ruhr.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, it was designated “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, especially in the area of ​​the Volme estuary”.
