Aït Milk ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⴰⵢⵜ ⵎⵉⵍⴽ Ayt Milk , Arabic آيت ميلك) is the capital of a rural community (commune rurale) consisting of several villages with a total of approx. 10,000 inhabitants in the province of Chtouka-Aït Baha in the Moroccan region of Souss-Massa .
Location and climate
The place Aït Milk is located in the foothills of the western Anti-Atlas Mountains at an altitude of about 170 m in southwest Morocco. The distances to the northern cities of Agadir and Biougra are about 75 and 33 km; to Aït Baha it is about 35 km in a north-easterly direction. The climate is mostly dry and warm to hot; the sparse rain (approx. 185 mm / year) falls mainly in the winter half-year.

The continuous decline in population is mainly due to the migration of Berber families , who formerly lived as self-sufficient farmers, to the cities.
economy
Agriculture still plays the most important role in the surrounding villages; Small traders, craftsmen and service providers have settled in the village.
Attractions
The place itself offers no sights. In the area there are still remnants of former adobe buildings that used to be used for residential or commercial purposes.
