The Souss-Massa region ( Arabic سوس - ماسة) is one of the 12 regions of Morocco that were newly created after an administrative reform in 2015 and extends in the south-west of the Kingdom. The name of the region is derived from the two rivers Oued Souss and Oued Massa . The capital of the region is the city of Agadir .

In the entire Souss-Massa region, about 2.676 million people (mostly Berbers ) live in an area of ​​around 53,000 km². Around 1.171 million people live in rural areas ( communes rurales ), around 1.505 million people live in cities ( municipalités ).
