The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region ( Arabic الرباط - سلا - القنيطرة) is one of the 12 regions of Morocco that were newly created after an administrative reform in 2015 and extends in the north-west of the Kingdom. The name of the region is derived from the three large cities Rabat , Salé and Kenitra . The capital of the region is the city of Rabat.

In the entire Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, around 4.580 million people of Arab and Berber descent live in an area of ​​around 17,500 km². Approx. 1.382 million people live in rural areas ( communes rurales ), approx. 3.198 million people live in cities ( municipalités ).
