The Drâa-Tafilalet region ( Arabic درعة تافيلالت, DMG Dar'a Tāfīlālat ) is one of the 12 regions of Morocco that were newly created after an administrative reform in 2015 and extends in the south-east of the Kingdom. The name of the region is derived from the Drâa river and the spacious oasis landscape of the Tafilalet . The capital of the region is the city of Errachidia .

In the entire Draâ-Tafilalet region, around 1.635 million people (mostly Berbers ) live in an area of ​​around 86,000 km². Around 1.074 million people live in rural areas ( communes rurales ), around 561,000 people live in cities ( municipalités ).
