The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for Morocco contains the codes for the 12 regions and their 13 prefectures and 62 provinces.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for Morocco MA), the second the code for the region (consisting of two digits) or the prefecture / province (three letters).

The current country code was last updated on November 26, 2018.

The current codes are available on the ISO website under #iso: code: 3166: MA .

The codes have been updated four times: in the second newsletter (ISO 3166-2: 2002-05-21) when the additional division into regions was introduced; and in the sixth newsletter (ISO 3166-2: 2004-03-08) to change the spelling from Laayoune to Laâyoune ; in the third newsletter (from April 20, 2018) with the conversion from 16 to 12 regions and some adjustments to the prefectures and provinces; and in the fourth newsletter (from November 26, 2018) with changes to the spelling.
