Es Semara (Province)
Es Semara ( Tamazight : ⵜⴰⵙⴳⴰ ⵏ ⵙⵙⵎⴰⵔⴰ) is a province of the Western Sahara annexed and administered by Morocco . It has belonged to the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region (previously to Guelmim-Es Semara ) and is located in the northeast of Western Sahara since the administrative reform of 2015 . It borders Morocco to the north, Algeria to the northeast and Mauritania to the east and south . The province has 60,426 inhabitants (2004).
