Salé (prefecture)

Salé ( Arabic عمالة سلا, Tamazight : ⵜⴰⵎⵖⵓⵔⵜ ⵏ ⵙⵍⴰ) is a prefecture in Morocco . It belongs to the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and is located north of Rabat , in the suburbs of the capital. The prefecture has 982,163 inhabitants (as of 2014).

history

Before the administrative reform of 2015, the Salé prefecture was part of the Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer region .
