Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer ( Arabic جهة الرباط سلا زمور زعير, tamazight : ⵜⴰⵎⵏⴰⴹⵜ ⵏ ⴰⵕⴱⴰⵟ ⵙⵍⴰ ⵣⴻⵎⵎⵓⵔ ⵣⵄⵉⵔ Tamnaḍt n Aṛbaṭ Sla Zemmur Zɛir ) was one of the 16 regions of Morocco until the administrative reform of 2015 and was located in the north-west of the kingdom. In the entire area of Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer, almost 2.5 million people (as of 2004), of which the majority are in the cities of Rabat and Salé , lived on a total area of approx. 9,580 km². The capital of the region was Rabat. The four provinces have been part of the newly created Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region since 2015 .
